Pre existing Medical Conditions
ETI's leisure travel insurance policies contain exclusions concerning pre existing medical conditions (a medical condition existing prior to you having taken out an ETI policy). Such exclusions are usual in Leisure Travel Insurance Policies.

If you need advice on a specific Medical Condition and whether it can be covered under an ETI policy, please call the ETI Medical Helpdesk 0208 315 0764. The Helpdesk operates Monday-Friday 9-17.00. You may call the Helpdesk if you are an existing ETI policyholder, or if you are considering an ETI policy.

You will be provided with confirmation in writing advising whether the declared medical condition can be covered or not - along with a medical screening reference number.

The Medical Helpdesk will keep the information you provide confidential, and only release the information to ETI's Claims Department or Assistance Operation upon request if you are admitted to a hospital during travel outside the UK, and where the reason for such hospitalisation may have a likelihood of being the result of a pre existing medical condition.

ETI has developed "A Guide to The Medical Conditions Declaration", which you will find attached as a pdf document in the above link. The Guide explains when it is necessary to call the Medical Helpdesk and outlines the pre existing medical condition and other general health related policy exclusions.
